Thank you, Dorothy, for defining LOVE as it should be. The hidden disabilities are the hardest are my house. I needed to read this today.
Thank you for this today. What challenging words to us all as parents whether our children need lots of extra care or not as much – I’m going to be asking myself today, “How am I loving?”
I love this!! I lived and learned this! 🙂 I always believed adoption was God’s model of making us his own through salvation, but adopting an older child with attachment issues taught me a whole new level of His love.
Great post!!! Thank you for putting it into words…and giving me a little reminder 🙂
What an amazing post this is. You are so right that true love, GOD’S LOVE, is not always pretty or easy. But it certainly is REAL and absolutely is ENOUGH. Great words to read this morning, thank you for sharing.
thanks for this!! I love the Lord’s timing!!
thanks for these powerful and true words!!

This is amazing. Thanks.
Amen! God is love; he alone is enough. Without him none of it is possible.
This is so brilliantly, beautifully true.
This expresses the truth of some adoptions better than anything I’ve ever read.
I never want to forget to tell people that some adoptions are just like the storybooks. We have two of those. But, others (two of ours) are like this, and to be able to remember that every moment requires sacrificial love, helps you do it.
Phew. You got it, lady. Completely.
Blessings!
Hannah
THANK YOU!! I really needed this today (and every day).

Beautiful post. Thank you!
beautiful.
I am learning how true this is. We’ve had our daughter since birth, yet the issues remain. Learning and loving.
