Jerusha, that is an AWESOME post! I especially LOVE that last paragraph. That is where I have been for the last nine months since bringing Lily home. I am so tired of having my joy robbed! 🙂
This is wonderful Jerusha. It is so true that we can only love from the place of receiving our Heavenly Father’s love and letting that be the love that pours out. I’m like you–I found out through our adoptions that my love is not as big as I assumed it would be. It has limits and I really hate the way I am when I get outside those limits! It’s not pretty. But praise God that we can access His love that is limitless. What in the world would we do without Him?! Thanks for writing this– it’s such a good reminder too that all of the mundane things we moms do is sacred. I needed that today!
I’m a mother of two (ages 2 and 4).I don’t think I’ll ever adopt a child. Can you really love him as your own? I think you people are incredible!!
