About 9 months ago, I returned home from a trip to Mexico that confirmed my desire to get cameras into the hands of orphans. Some of the girls at the Door of Faith Orphanage in La Mision had borrowed my SLR, and I could not get over the images they captured.
So not long after, I started brainstorming an idea I believe the Lord planted in my heart
What a cool idea–to give others skills that can help them in life and the ability to see God through the lens of the camera. Thank you for sharing!
Love these pictures – through the eyes of orphans! I’m sure they felt special, important and a part of something fun! This project will lead to healthy, Jesus Loving futures – I believe that!
Kristen, I love how God uses out passion to serve Him and others. Thank you for glorifying Him through this ministry.
What an amazing project! And what an experience for those children involved! Great job in teaching some artistic (because it is such an art) skills to these children that may have never gotten experiences like this any other way!
Beautiful! What a chance at life that these precious girls wouldn’t have otherwise had. Praying for your 6th trip.
Love this idea. You are literally giving new lenses to these children, to discover, create, dream and hope. Have a wonderful time in China this summer.
it is an honor to know kristen and the amazing passion she has for orphans all over the world! i pray constantly the my baby girl is being loved be a tender soul like kristen!
i love her work so much and i love the healing that photography can bring! what an inspiration!
Genius idea. I’ve loved following Kristin’s progress. It definitely makes is personal. I think it’d be great to do something similar here in the States w/ homeless kids. Someday – I will 😉
